Dana Landing on Mission Bay

Boaters Division

5 best spotties size 12"
No Trolling
No live bait
Observe all restrictions of the bay (any ticket or observed violation is an instant DQ)
Culling must occur at fish number 6 (more than five in the well is a disqualification)
.20 pound deduction for each dead fish (No culling dead fish, if it dies, you're stuck with it)
Must give 25 yards between vessels

Sportsmanship – All laws of sportsmanship apply

All fishing must be accomplished by one rod reel (per angler) at a time and must be in your hand (cast and retrieve - no rod holders – no strolling, no peeling line with the motor and then retrieve)

Shotgun start (if large number of participants “flights” will apply)

Weigh in begins at 1:30pm (if flights apply weigh in times will coordinate) 
 

NO CELL PHONE/RADIO CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN ANGLERS (unless an emergency exists)

 

Start at first light… Before 6 am, assemble just outside the Dana Marina. We will be out there to announce the start and flights… first light is approx 6:10am.

Yakers and Tubers Division

3 best spotties size 12"
Culling must occur at fish number 4 (more than 3 in the well is a disqualification)
Same rules as above, however weigh in will be at 1:45 pm.

Start at first light… Before 6 am, assemble just outside the Dana Marina. We will be out there to announce the start and flights… first light is approx 6:10am.

Big Fish Option

 

$5 Individual Option (not a team option but individual angler) for big fish overall (boaters/yakers) money will go to the individual angler

Check in between 4 am - 5:45

In the case of a tie, the prize money will be awarded in the following manner:          

The designated cash will be added together and split among those tied for a given place. (Example: A two way tie for 2nd place would split the cash awards designated for both 2nd and 3rd place)

 

Protests

Protests regarding violation of rules must be declared immediately to the Tournament Directors and then submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the end of weigh-in. The Tournament Directors will hear protests and the decisions of the Tournament Directors will be final.

Here is how most if not ALL PROTESTS can be avoided, if you suspect a possible infraction is about to take place, ALERT THE WOULD-BE OFFENDER TO CHECK THE RULES!
